Anushka Shetty, born as Sweety Shetty on November 7, 1981, is a prominent Indian actress and former yoga instructor, primarily known for her work in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She made her acting debut in 2005 with the Telugu film Super and rose to fame with movies like Vikramarkudu (2006), Arundhati (2009), and Vedam (2010). Her performances in strong, female-centric roles earned her critical acclaim and numerous awards.

Anushka achieved pan-India recognition through her role as Devasena in S.S. Rajamouli’s epic Baahubali series (2015 & 2017), where her powerful portrayal contributed to the films’ massive success. She is one of the few actresses in South Indian cinema who has consistently delivered box office hits and strong solo-led films.

Known for her versatility and screen presence, Anushka has worked alongside major actors like Prabhas, Nagarjuna, Vikram, and Suriya. She holds a degree in Computer Applications and trained in yoga under Bharat Thakur before entering the film industry.
