Who is Murnal Thakur?

Mrunal Thakur is an Indian actress born on August 1, 1992, in Dhule, Maharashtra. She began her acting career in 2012 with the television series Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan and gained widespread recognition for her role as Bulbul Arora in the popular soap opera Kumkum Bhagya (2014–2016) .

Transitioning to films, Thakur made her Bollywood debut with the 2018 drama Love Sonia, portraying a young girl trapped in the world of human trafficking . She further established her presence in Hindi cinema with notable performances in Super 30 (2019), where she starred opposite Hrithik Roshan, and Batla House (2019), alongside John Abraham .

Expanding her repertoire, Thakur ventured into Telugu cinema with the 2022 romantic drama Sita Ramam, earning critical acclaim and winning the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu . She continued her success in Telugu films with Hi Nanna (2023), receiving the IIFA Utsavam Award for Best Actress – Telugu .

Thakur’s versatility across various Indian film industries and her commitment to diverse roles have solidified her status as a prominent actress in contemporary Indian cinema.
