Who is Raashii Khanna?

Raashii Khanna (born 30 November 1990 in Delhi) is an Indian actress and playback singer known for her versatile roles across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema.A bright student, she topped her Class 12 exams and earned a BA (Hons.) in English from Lady Shri Ram College, initially aiming for a UPSC/IAS career before fate steered her to films.She debuted in Bollywood with a supporting role in Madras Café (2013), starring John Abraham. Her breakthrough came in Telugu cinema with the romantic hit Oohalu Gusagusalade (2014), winning her the SIIMA Best Female Debut – Telugu.Raashii went on to star in numerous successful films, including Bengal Tiger (2015), Supreme (2016), Jai Lava Kusa (2017), Tholi Prema (2018), and Tamil hits like Imaikkaa Nodigal and Thiruchitrambalam. In recent years, she expanded to Hindi streaming series such as Rudra: The Edge of Darkness (2022) and Farzi (2023), and played lead roles in Thiruchitrambalam and Sardar (both 2022). Her forthcoming Telugu film Telusu Kada is slated for October 2025 .Known for her philanthropic streak—she launched the “Roti Bank” initiative and meal drives during COVID—Raashii is also socially active and was ranked among Forbes India’s influential South cinema Instagram stars. Charismatic, talented, and committed, she’s firmly established in South Indian cinema and increasingly in Hindi content, with much more to come.
